The Women’s T20 Challenge, popularly known as the women’s IPL, will be held in a five-day window in November 2020. Here is the complete women’s IPL 2020 squad lists for each team.
The Women’s T20 Challenge will consist of four matches, with each of the three teams – Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity – playing each other once, before the final. The matches will be held alongside the 2020 IPL in UAE. The squad list for the women’s IPL was released earlier this month, with Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj named captains of each team.
Players from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand are travelling to UAE ahead of the tournament. As per the Covid-19 bi0-secure protocols, the players will have to quarantine themselves before beginning their preparations for the Women’s IPL 2020.
The 2018 women’s IPL was the inaugural edition of the tournament, which was held in the form of an exhibition match in Mumbai. Last year, the competition was extended to include more matches and players. This edition will be the first held outside India.
