India Women will not travel to the UK for a proposed tri-series with England and South Africa later this summer.
England returned to training last month as the ECB held out hopes for both South Africa and India to contest a tri-series in September. Prior to the onset of the Covid-19 crisis, India had been set to play England in two T20Is and four ODIs in June and July.
However, due to the Covid-19 crisis in India – the country has reported over a million cases of infection – and scheduled international flights to the UK currently suspended, the BCCI will not be sending a side.
The ECB is now hoping to extend the length of its proposed bilateral series with South Africa.
