The eighth edition of the Women’s Big Bash League, in 2022/23, will begin on the night of October 13, when Brisbane Heat will host Sydney Sixers at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. The tournament will feature the usual teams, the others being defending champions Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder, Adelaide Strikers, and Hobart Hurricanes.

The teams will play in a double round-robin league until November 20. This will be followed by the three Playoff matches – the Eliminator, the Challenger, and the final. The likes of Meg Lanning, Zoe Cooke, and Issy Wong have might have themselves unavailable for the tournament, but there is going to be no dearth of stars in this edition.
