Watch: Pakistan speedster Salman Irshad dismissed Andre Fletcher, Corbin Bosch and Ambati Rayudu in the same over in a CPL 2023 match on Wednesday, August 23.

Playing for defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs, Irshad rekindled memories of Lasith Malinga with his slingy action. He wreaked havoc with match-winning figures of 4-27 in four overs, thanks to a fiery opening spell where he skittled three batters in five deliveries.

Coming to bowl the fifth over, 27-year-old Irshad delivered a ball that jagged back into Andre Fletcher, whose bottom hand came off the bat, and wicketkeeper Amir Jangoo took a simple catch.

There was no respite for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, as there was a near-encore off the very next ball: this time the ball lobbed to Shamarh Brooks at point, and Corbin Bosch walked back.

Ambati Rayudu charged down the wicket to unsettle Irshad, but failed to control the excessive bounce and sliced it to Imad Wasim at deep third.

Joshua Da Silva (36 in 32 balls) and Dominic Drakes (29 not out in 22) eventually took the Patriots to 156-9 as Irshad finished with 4-27 and Mohammad Amir with 3-20.

The Tallawahs made mincemeat of the paltry target of 157, knocking it down in 16.3 overs at the loss of two wickets. Brandon King top-scored with 67 off 33 balls, striking seven fours and four over-boundaries.
