SRH were put into bat after PBKS won the toss and elected to field. Arshdeep Singh broke the back of SRH early on with two quick wickets which brought the 20-year-old all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy to the crease at No.4.
By the tenth over, SRH slumped to 64-4. Reddy held the innings together at one end but was finding it tough to get going. He finally let loose in the 11th over, bowled by Harpreet Brar, where he hit him for a four and six.

Rabada came on to bowl the next over, and gave a run off the first two balls he bowled to Reddy. He came back on strike for the fifth ball, which was an attempted bouncer. Reddy got behind the line of the ball and hooked it over long-leg for his second six of the innings. The shot displayed the talent of the youngster, who has been hyped up a lot by his state-mate and India player Hanuma Vihari.
Reddy ended up hitting three more sixes and reached his fifty off just 32 balls, his first in IPL. He was finally dismissed in the 17 over for 64 (37), having laid the platform for SRH to post a respectable total.
They eventually finished with 182-9 from their 20 overs.
