Jasprit Bumrah produced two exceptional deliveries to dismiss both Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow to leave England’s hopes in the Oval Test hanging by a thread.
With the score at 141-3 and the match poised in the early stages of the afternoon session, Bumrah bowled two rockets to rattle the stumps of England’s middle order.
The first delivery to Pope extracted some movement from what has otherwise been a very flat surface, before the ball to Bairstow was a textbook yorker that Waqar Younis would have been proud of.

India were still favourites at the time of his wickets but the double strike that came in back-to-back Bumrah overs put them firmly in the driving seat. Ollie Pope was dismissed for just two, whilst it was a four-ball duck for Jonny Bairstow.
