The first T20I between the two Asia sides will be played on February 17 in Dambulla, with the remaining two matches on February 19 and February 21 at the same venue.
All-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga will lead the hosts with Charith Asalanka as his deputy. Angelo Mathews, who returned to the T20I set-up after three years against Zimbabwe and won the Player of the Series award, continues to be a part of the squad that also has Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka and Kamindu Mendis.
Sri Lanka will be without the injured quick Dushmantha Chameera, who walked off during the first ODI against Afghanistan due to a quad injury. Binura Fernando replaces him.
Afghanistan, on the other hand, will be captained by Ibrahim Zadran as regular skipper Rashid Khan continues to recover from back surgery.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is another big absentee from the T20Is. The spinner sustained a sprain in his right hand before the ODIs against Sri Lanka and continues to miss out. Mohammad Saleem Safi, who toured India in January for the T20I series, has also not been picked due to a hamstring injury. He has been replaced by Wafadar Momand.
