Social cricket: School photos, FA Cup & daylight robbery

by Wisden Staff 3 minute read

A round-up of the best cricket-related Tweets and Instas from the last week.

Australia’s unveiling of their sensational new retro ODI kit caught the attention of the masses on social media this week. The Marsh brothers, Adam Zampa and Peter Siddle appear to be loving their old-school attire.

Zampa’s choice of footwear was the centre of a lot of the attention.

Peter Siddle’s return to the Australian XI also made headlines. He is set to play his first ODI since November 2010. As Wisden Cricket Monthly’s Australia Correspondent Adam Collins noted, Australia have had five Prime Ministers in that time.

Ben Cutting had a big cut on his face after being hit on the face by a ball in the BBL. Ouch.

Stuart Broad, the star of last week’s social round-up, was spotted watching his beloved Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.

JP Duminy had an amusing interaction with a cashier.

And Lizzy Ammon, who appeared on the latest episode of the Wisden Cricket Weekly Podcast, hit the nail on the head with this Tweet.
