Sky Sports have announced that they will rerun the final day of the 2019 Headingley Ashes Test, when Ben Stokes snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, on Easter Saturday.
Stokes put on an unbroken 76 with Jack Leach for the last wicket to somehow help England seal a thrilling chase of 359. It’s a knock that has since been heralded as one of the greatest in Ashes history, and indeed in Test history.
“What an innings, what a player… take a bow Ben Stokes”?

Sky will start the telecast from midday on Easter Saturday, April 11, and it comes after their announcement that they would rerun the final of the 2019 World Cup – a day in which Stokes starred again – from 8am on Easter Sunday.
The reruns are a part of Sky’s move to keep the fans entertained as the cricket world is at a standstill due to lockdowns to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
