MS Dhoni has made himself “unavailable” for India’s tour of the Caribbean, chief selector MSK Prasad revealed on Sunday, July 3, as he announced the three squads for the full tour.
Rohit Sharma returned to the Test side, along with Wriddhiman Saha, who is in the squad for the first time since January 2018, when he suffered a shoulder injury.
R Ashwin also returned to the side, having missed three Tests in Australia in India’s last assignment in whites, and will join Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav as specialist spinners.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been left out of the limited-overs leg, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been rested for the whole tour. Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman, is expected to play a prominent role in all three formats.
India begin their tour August 3 with a T20I in Florida, followed by two more T20Is on August 4 and August 6. They then play three ODIs from August 8 before moving on to the Tests, in Antigua and Jamaica, starting on August 22 and 30 respectively.
