Jaiswal, who made a quick 68 from 34 balls during the second T20I against Afghanistan, climbed up seven spots to No.6, his career-best. It’s the first time the India youngster has made it into the top-ten list in the T20I charts. Jaiswal, who has 739 rating points, is one of three Indians in the top ten, alongside No.1 Suryakumar Yadav (869 points) and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is at ninth place with 661 points.
Shivam Dube, who has emerged as a candidate to make India’s T20 World Cup squad after a stellar IPL in the last two seasons, made 60* and 63* in the two Afghanistan games, is currently ranked 58th in the rankings, up from 113. This is the first time he has broken into the top 100 of the ICC T20I rankings.
Finn Allen, who made a record-equalling hundred on Wednesday against Pakistan, will not have his recent knock considered until next week. However, his innings of 34 and 74 against Pakistan have seen him jump up 11 places to 16, and he is only expected to rise further.
As far as the bowling charts are considered, Axar has jumped up 12 places to No.5 and is the highest-ranked Indian bowler with 667 rating points. Ravi Bishnoi is the only other Indian in the top-ten list, which is led by England’s Adil Rashid. Fazalhaq Farooqi, who is taking part in the T20Is against India, also entered the top ten, climbing up three spots to No.9.
