South Africa v India (away)
December 2021-January 2022
Continuing from December 2021, India will play the remainder of their three-Test series in the rainbow country, followed by three ODIs.
India v West Indies (home)
February 2022
The West Indies are due to tour India and play a three-match T20I and ODI series, quite similar to their 2019/20 tour of the nation.
India v Sri Lanka (home)
February-March 2022
Sri Lanka will take part in a two-Test contest against India followed by three T20Is.
Afghanistan v India (home)
March 2022
Afghanistan will visit for a three-match ODI series. The two teams haven’t participated in a bilateral ODI or T20I series yet, although Afghanistan visited India for their debut Test in 2018.
New Zealand v India (away)
March 2022
India will then tour New Zealand for a three ODI contest in March. They would seek to improve their showing after a disastrous whitewash they suffered in the format last time around.
India v South Africa (home)
June 2022
India will host a rare summer series against South Africa. The Proteas will play five T20Is against India.
England v India (away)
July 2022
India will tour England to play the final Test of the 2021 Pataudi Trophy. The last game was postponed after the Indian camp was hit by Covid-19 right before the match in September 2021. They will also play three ODIs and T20Is in the country.
West Indies v India (away)
August
India will tour West Indies for a three ODI and five T20I series in August after they are done with their tour of England. The last time they toured the West Indies they won all the international contests.
Zimbabwe v India (away)
August
India will tour Zimbabwe for a quick three ODI series in August, to be played on the 18th, 20th and 27th. It will closely follow the Asia Cup.
Asia Cup 2022
August-September 2022
The first Asia Cup in four years will be held in Sri Lanka, and the matches will be held in the T20I format. The tournament was originally supposed to be held in 2020. India have won the last two editions of the Asia Cup (2016, 2018).
India v Australia (home)
September 2022
Australia will tour India with the aim of winning their first series in the country since 2004. They will play three T20Is.
India v South Africa (home)
September-October 2022
The two teams will feature in an ODI and T20I series ahead of the T20 World Cup.
T20 World Cup 2022
October-November 2022
The 2022 T20 World Cup will be held in Australia, the second time the T20 global tournament will be held in back to back years. India won three out of their five matches in the group stages of the 2021 edition, failing to make it to the semi-finals.
Bangladesh v India (away)
November-December 2022
India will tour Bangladesh for their first full tour of the nation since 2015. They will play two Tests and three ODIs.
India v Sri Lanka (home)
December 2022
India will sign off the year with a five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
