India will be participating in the Asian Games cricket tournament for the first time in the 2023 edition hosted by Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8. Here are the latest pictures and details of the India cricket team’s jersey design for the Asian Games 2023.
The leaked pictures of India’s jersey for the Asian Games 2023 have taken the internet by storm due to its intricate design.
The men’s cricket event will be played in the T20 format between September 27 and October 8 while the women’s version will be held between September 19 and 25 in the same format. Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field is the preferred venue for the competition.
Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) announced a 15-member second-string men’s squad headed by Ruturaj Gaikwad for the showpiece event since regulars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and others would be busy playing in the 2023 ODI World Cup starting on October 5.
However, India Women boast of a full-strength side, though they will miss regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for the first two matches.

At the 19th Asian Games, India will don a jersey symbolising the country’s diversity and unity. The design is reportedly inspired by art forms across its different states. The kit proudly sports the logos of IOA and its sponsor JSW Steel with ‘India’ written in block letters in the middle.
On September 5, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) disclosed the official ceremony attire and the playing outfit for the Indian contingent.
