How many teams are there in WPL?

There are five teams – Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz. The respective franchises of the first four also own IPL teams of the same name.

When will WPL 2023 be played?

The first edition will be held from March 4 to March 26, 2023, across 22 matches.

What are the venues for WPL?

The tournament will be entirely held in Mumbai, at the Brabourne Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium.

WPL 2023 opening ceremony – who is performing?

An opening ceremony will be held at the DY Patil Stadium ahead of the first match between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. The opening ceremony will begin at 6.25pm IST on March 4, with the match starting at 8pm.

Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon will be performing at the ceremony, along with Punjabi singer-songwriter AP Dhillon.
