Watch: Rinku Singh unleashed another late assault, this time in a Super Over during the Uttar Pradesh T20 League, securing a victory for Meerut Mavericks with three sixes off three balls.

With the scores tied at 181, the game went into a Super Over, where Kashi Rudras managed 16 runs. In response, Rinku, smashed a hat-trick of sixes to complete a sensational win. The UPT20 is a domestic T20 tournament organised by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, following the template of the Indian Premier League.

Rinku enjoyed considerable limelight in IPL 2023, his breakout season, after he smashed five sixes off as many balls to bring up a sensational win for the Kolkata Knight Riders against eventual finalists Gujarat Titans. In that game, KKR needed 28 runs off the last five balls: Rinku proceeded to smash five sixes off left-arm seamer Yash Dayal.

Rinku, the Mavericks’ No.4, only managed a 22-ball 15 in their chase, built majorly on Madhav Kaushik’s 52-ball 87. For the Super Over, though, Mavericks still wouldn’t have looked beyond Rinku, who recently made his T20I debut in Ireland.

Against left-arm spinner Shiva Singh, Rinku first drilled a wide delivery over the extra cover fence. The second ball was a filthy full-toss that was easily dispatched over the midwicket region. The third ball, a wide half-tracker, was carted down the ground to complete a sensational victory.
