Watch: Marizanne Kapp bowled India star Jemimah Rodrigues for a golden duck with a beauty in The Hundred today, and there was amusement with the delivery clocked at just 3mph!

Kapp claimed four wickets in Oval Invincibles’ competition opener, and was the pick of the bowlers again, taking 2-22.

She started the game off in excellent fashion, with a delivery to Rodrigues swinging away before going straight on, swinging between bat and pad to hit off-stump. Rodrigues’ tough start to the competition continued. She has now made 45 runs in four innings, scoring at a little over a run a ball.

There was confusion and mirth when the speed gun showed Kapp had apparently delivered the ball at just 3mph. At that speed, it would have taken the ball over 30 seconds to reach Rodrigues – quite the slower ball!

This is not the first apparent error in the competition, with men’s left-arm spinner Liam Dawson clocked at 97mph at one point.
