Watch: Haris Rauf was on fire on Thursday (August 10) as he bluffed Liam Livingstone with a cunning slower ball in the 2023 Hundred clash between Welsh Fire and Birmingham Phoenix.

Welsh Fire registered their second win of the 2023 Hundred season after they made light work of their opponent Birmingham Phoenix. Chasing a meagre 113, Tom Abell’s men chased the total with 15 balls to spare.

Stephen Eskinazi acted as a catalyst to the Welsh Fire’s run-chase as he struck a blistering 43 off 18 balls, shattering the chances of any comeback for Birmingham Phoenix. He was adjudged player of the match for his heroic effort.

Batting first, Liam Livingstone notched up the highest score for the home side, striking 28 runs off 20 deliveries.

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf shed water on the hopes of the home side’s late flourish as he castled Livingstone with an immaculate slower ball. The batter tried to hoick Rauf to the leg-side but failed to time his shot. As a result, he played his shot a bit early, resulting in a gap between his bat and pad, getting him bowled. The tearaway quick took off to celebrate in his signature style.
