Road Safety World Series 2021 is an ongoing tournament where cricket’s retired heroes take the field again to create amplify the conversation around road safety in India. Here’s all you need to know about the tournament.

What is the Road Safety World Series?

The Road Safety World Series is a T20 cricket tournament organised by Maharashtra’s Road Safety Cell. It was originally scheduled for 2020, but had to be postponed after just four matches due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sunil Gavaskar is the commissioner of the series and Sachin Tendulkar is the brand ambassador.

Who is playing in Road Safety World Series 2021?

The competition will be played between six cricketing countries. The teams in the series include India Legends, South Africa Legends, England Legends, Bangladesh Legends, Sri Lanka Legends and West Indies Legends. After Australia Legends pulled out of the series due to strict COVID-19 restrictions in their country, teams from Bangladesh and England were added to the mix.

Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Jonty Rhodes, Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh are all part of the contest. Scroll below for the full squads.

Where and when will Road Safety World Series 2021 be played?

The 2021 edition of the Road Safety series will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

The ongoing tournament will be played from March 5 to March 21.

Are crowds allowed in the RSWS games?

Yes, the game can be watched live from the ground. The Raipur stadium can fill up to 65,000 spectators, but the crowds for the Road Safety World Series will be restricted to 50%.

To watch the matches in the stadium, fans can buy tickets from the BookMyShow app. The ticket prices range from INR 100 to INR 1500 for General Category.

Where can you watch RSWS live?

Road Safety World 2021 will be fully broadcasted on COLORS Cineplex, COLORS Kannada Cinema and Rishtey Cineplex. The matches will also be streamed on VOOT and Jio.

RSWS 2021 format and fixtures

The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, where each team plays the other five sides once. The four teams that finish on top of the table after the group stage qualify for the semifinals. Four points will be avoided for a win and the points will be split if the game has no result.
