In a PSL 2024 match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Karachi Kings posted 150-7 after Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to field.

Karachi were 34-0 after 4.2 overs, but were quickly reduced to 49-4 before James Vince (29 in 27 balls) and Kieron Pollard (39 in 28) added 58 in 31 balls. There was no major onslaught in the end as Tymal Mills (3-34) and Faheem Ashraf (2-16) shared five wickets.

Coming on first-change, Imad Wasim bowled four overs of left-arm spin, dismissing Shoaib Malik and conceding only 18.

During the innings, Imad was fielding near the boundary when the crowd chanted Babar Azam’s name. Imad took off his shirt off and celebrated a la Lionel Messi.

At the time of writing, Islamabad were 33-1 after four overs. They need another 118 in 96 balls. Imad is yet to bat.
