Pakistan Super League 2024 match officials: List of umpires and match referees for the PSL

The list of umpires and match referees has been announced for the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League. Here is the full list of 2024 PSL match officials.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared the names of the referees and umpires for the upcoming PSL, which is set to begin on February 17. Lahore and Multan will host 14 matches from February 17 to 27, while 16 games will be played in Karachi and Rawalpindi from February 28 to March 12.

There are four umpires from the ICC’s elite panel: Richard Illingworth, Chris Gaffaney, Ahsan Raza, and Michael Gough. They will be joined by Abdul Moqeet, Aleem Dar, Tariq Rasheed, Shozab Raza, Rashid Riaz, Faisal Afridi, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, Asif Yaqoob, Alex Wharf, Nasir Hussain, Imran Jawed, and Muhammad Asif.

England’s Illingworth has officiated in the league for six editions and 48 matches, while his compatriot Gough has overseen proceedings in four seasons. New Zealand’s Gaffaney will debut in the league, starting with the Multan Sultans-Karachi Kings match on 18 February.

There will be three match referees during the tournament: Roshan Mahanama, Ali Naqvi and Muhammad Javed.

The opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United in Lahore will have Dar and Gough as umpires with Tariq Rasheed as the TV Umpire and Muhammad Javed as the match referee.

The officials for the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the Final in Karachi from 14 to 18 March will be revealed later.
