Watch: Musa Khan Pins Paul Stirling LBW With Inswinging Yorker, Gets Pumped For Three Boundaries By Munro In Thrilling PSL Over

Watch: Musa Khan dismissed Paul Stirling plumb lbw off the first ball of his over for Karachi Kings before Colin Munro pumped three boundaries in four balls in a thrilling contest.

With Islamabad United chasing 174 to win their first match of the 2023 Pakistan Super League, they lost Hassan Nawaz early after he top-edged Mohammad Amir in the second over of the innings. Now joined in the middle by Rassie van der Dussen, Stirling had started sluggishly and was on four from six as he faced up to Musa’s second over.

Bowling over the wicket, Musa sent down an inswinging yorker which pitched perfectly on Stirling’s toes plumb in front of middle. Looking to play an expansive drive to the delivery, Stirling missed the ball completely and was trapped on his stumps. Musa barely had to appeal before umpire Alex Wharf raised his finger and Stirling had to walk off the field.

Munro walked out to bat at No.4 and immediately put Musa under pressure, responding to the wicket by crunching a four over mid-wicket from his first delivery. He made it back-to-back boundaries the next ball, playing through the same area but along the ground this time to repeat the result.

After playing out a dot, Munro went through mid-wicket once more to take three boundaries off the over after Stirling’s dismissal. From 21-1 at the beginning of Musa’s over, Islamabad came out of it 35-2.

Munro continued to attack throughout his innings, hitting nine boundaries including two sixes off one over from James Fuller and reached his half-century with another maximum off 24 balls. His explosive innings came to an end when he was run out for 58 in a mix-up with Azam Khan. Munro had broken the back of the chase, however, and by the time he was dismissed Islamabad needed 38 off 32 balls, and they eased home with 10 balls to spare.
