Watch: Shadab Khan was playfully jostled and teased by Haris Rauf after his dismissal in Islamabad United’s Pakistan Super League defeat to Lahore Qalandars, and he didn’t seem best pleased about it.
Islamabad United were skittled for 90, losing by 110 runs after Lahore Qalandars had put up 200-7. Shadab, the Islamabad United captain, fell for four, edging David Wiese behind to Sam Billings. The decision was initially given ‘not out’ and was overturned on review.
As Shadab walked off, he has accompanied by Rauf, who had a hold of the all-rounder’s arm and jumped up and down with his face close to Shadab’s. While there appeared to be no malice in Rauf’s actions, Shadab seemed far from pleased, shaking him off before receiving a playful push in the back.
“Now he’s being helped off the park,” said Simon Doull on commentary. “I’m not sure if that’s necessary. I don’t know if Shadab will find that overly funny. I know I wouldn’t, I can tell you that much.”
