Watch: A light-hearted moment in PSL 2022 saw Multan Sultans batter Mohammad Rizwan giving Lahore Qalandars bowler Shaheen Afridi an air hug after the quick tried to throw the ball back to the striker during a league stage match on Friday.

The tournament, which has now shifted to Lahore, saw a friendly moment between Pakistan teammates Rizwan and Shaheen. The first ball of the third over of the Multan innings saw Rizwan hit across the line only to end up pushing the ball back to Shaheen, who, in his follow-through pretended to field the ball and throw it towards the batter. Rizwan, however, sensing the aggression of the Lahore captain, calmed down the situation by offering him an air hug, which forced Shaheen to break into a smile.

Lahore, who scored 182-4 in their 20 overs, led by a quick 37-ball 60 by Fakhar Zaman, dismissed Multan for 130, with Rashid Khan eventually dismissing Rizwan for a 27-ball 20. Shaheen ended with two wickets, getting the scalps of Shan Masood and Blessing Muzarabani.
