'I Have No Time For You As A Human' - Dale Steyn Takes Aim At Simon Doull Over 'Mid-Life Crisis' Comment

Dale Steyn has taken umbrage at commentator Simon Doull for describing him as having a “mid-life crisis” during a Pakistan Super League game.

The legendary South Africa quick claimed 2-44 in a high-scoring defeat for his Quetta Gladiators side on February 26, and took to Twitter the following day after being upset by an on-air comment.

“Question,” he tweeted. “Which commentator said I have a mid-life crisis?”

A reply of the moment revealed it was Doull who had made the remark, with the cameras picking up Steyn in the dressing room during Quetta Gladiators’ innings. “A little mid-life crisis with that hair,” he said, with Steyn currently sporting a shoulder-length trim.

“Lockdown hair,” added David Gower.

Steyn went on to add two further tweets, making his displeasure clear.

“If your job is to talk about the game, then do that,” he said. “But if you use that airtime to abuse anyone for their weight, sexual choices, ethnic backgrounds, lifestyle etc or even hairstyles, then im [sic] afraid I have no time for you as a human. You and anyone else like that to be fair.”
