The second edition of the 2023 Maharaja Trophy will begin on August 13 — here’s where you can watch the tournament, including live streaming and telecast details.

The Maharaja Trophy is organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association, where a total of six teams take part. A total of 33 T20 games will be played over the span of two weeks, with the final being held on August 29.

The 2023 edition will feature four teams that played previously – Gulbarga Mystics, Bengaluru Blasters, Mysore Warriors and Hubli Tigers – along with two new teams, the Mangalore Dragons and Shivamogga Lions.

Each team will play the other side twice in the league stage, from where the top four franchises in the points table will qualify for the semifinal. The Maharaja Trophy will not be played in the Indian Premier League-style playoffs system, but will instead have two knockout semifinals. The semis will be played on August 28, with the first clash starting at 1 pm IST, followed by the second semifinal at 5.30 pm IST. The final will be held a day later.

Every game of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The tournament will feature a number of big names from Karnataka, including Mayank Agarwal (Bengaluru Blasters), Manish Pandey (Hubli Tigers), Krishnappa Gowtham (Mangalore Dragons), Shreyas Gopal (Shivamogga Lions) and Abhinav Manohar (Shivamogga Lions). Upcoming stars like Vyshak Vijaykumar (captain of Gulbarga Mystics), Devdutt Padikkal (Gulbarga Mystics) and Abhinav Manohar (Shivamogga Lions) will also take part.

The Maharaja Cup will also mark the return of Prasidh Krishna. Krishna, who was sidelined due to a back injury since August 2022, will be playing his first professional game in a year when he takes the field for Mysore Warriors.
