After three seasons where players were picked through a draft system, the Lanka Premier League will witness an auction for the first time this year.

LPL 2023 Auction: Date and time for the Lanka Premier League auction

The 2023 Lanka Premier League starts on July 31, 2023, and will conclude on August 22. The LPL 2023 Auction will take place today (June 14) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.

The LPL 2023 Auction is expected to begin at 2.30 PM local time, which is the same as Indian Standard Time (IST). Charu Sharma, who hosted the IPL 2022 Auction, will be the auctioneer in the first-ever Lanka Premier League auction.

The LPL 2023 Auction begins at 2.30 PM local time (same as IST). It will not be telecast on any TV Channels in India but will be available for live streaming on the official YouTube channel of Sri Lanka Cricket as well as their official Facebook page.

LPL 2023 auction: List of players registered

Almost 360 players have registered for the auction and will go under the hammer, including global T20 stars like Evin Lewis, Mohammad Nabi, and Noor Ahmad.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has registered his name in the auction and is hoping to make a comeback to competitive cricket through the 2023 Lanka Premier League. He is the only Indian to feature in the LPL 2023 Auction list.
