Captain Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, and Heinrich Klaasen are still playing for South Africa, and will be unavailable for today’s match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead Sunrisers Hyderabad instead.
Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of IPL 2023. Rajasthan Royals are yet to name a replacement, though Sandeep Sharma has been training with the squad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will miss Josh Hazlewood (no replacement yet) and Will Jacks (replaced by Michael Bracewell) for the entire season, while Rajat Patidar (injured) and Wanindu Hasaranga (on international duty) will miss the first few matches.
Mumbai Indians finally have Jofra Archer, but they will be without Jasprit Bumrah and Jhye Richardson for the entire season. So far, they have signed up Sandeep Warrier.
