RCB vs CSK: IPL 2023 team news
Both teams have won two matches out of four, just like eighth-placed Mumbai Indians and ninth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Chennai (+0.225) are fifth, ahead of Bangalore (-0.316) – largely due to the latter’s 81-run defeat against the Kolkata Knight Riders – as well as Mumbai and Hyderabad, by virtue of their superior net run rate.
Bangalore did well to beat to beat Delhi Capitals in their last match. In particular, they should feel upbeat after the performance of debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak – though they will be, in all likelihood, without Josh Hazlewood.
Chennai, on the other hand, have been hit by a string of injuries, to Deepak Chahar, Ben Stokes, Sisanda Magala, and Simarjeet Singh. Matheesha Pathirana, too, has recently recovered from Covid-19.
