LSG vs GT, MI vs PBKS: IPL 2023 team news
Lucknow are second in the points table, level on points with table toppers Rajasthan Royals and third-placed Chennai Super Kings, with only net run rate separating the three. Gujarat Titans are two points behind the trio, but they have a match in hand.
Mark Wood missed the last match due to illness, and there is no update on his availability yet. If he does not recover, Lucknow may back the depth of their spin attack to win. Defending champions, Gujarat, on the other hand, have the potential to adapt to any track.
Like Gujarat, Mumbai have six points from five matches as well. If Jofra Archer recovers for tonight’s match, they will be the favourites at home against an inconsistent Punjab side that have the six points, albeit from six matches.
There is still no update on the availability of Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan, who has been nursing a shoulder injury. If he does not recover, Sam Curran will lead Punjab again.
