The IPL 2023 final on Sunday (May 28) in Ahmedabad is going to be a glittering night, with the BCCI planning a grand closing ceremony at the Narendra Modi Stadium right before the start of the final.

IPL 2023 saw the comeback of the opening ceremony after a five year absence. In it, Indian actors and singers including, but not limited to, Rashmika Mandhana and Arijit Singh performed live in front of a packed crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium on March 31, before the start of the first game of the tournament between GT and CSK.

A similar grand evening is planned on the night of the final by the BCCI, with a closing ceremony expected to take place before the start of the game, along with some performances during the innings break. The venue and at least one of the two teams for the final (CSK) are the same as that for the first game of the season.

Who will perform at the IPL 2023 closing ceremony?

Indian rapper King and electronic music producer Nucleya have been confirmed by the IPL as two of the performers for the IPL 2023 closing ceremony. Those two will perform before the start of the game. IPL organisers have also confirmed Indian rapper Divine and Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi as two performers who will perform at the mid-show during the innings break on the night of the final.

When will the IPL 2023 closing ceremony take place?

The closing ceremony is expected to start around 6 pm onwards on the night of the final (May 28) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The first match of the season saw a delayed start (8 pm) because of the opening ceremony. A similar delay can be expected for the final due to the closing ceremony.

Some performances will also take place during the innings break.

Where can you watch the IPL 2023 closing ceremony live?

The IPL 2023 closing ceremony will be broadcast on the Star Sports network, and will also be live-streamed on Jio Cinema for free.
