The IPL 2022 auction began in Bengaluru, and Day 1 saw a number of big players at the centre of intense bidding wars, even as a few prominent cricketers failed to find bids — here’s the full list of unsold players ahead of day two of the Indian Premier League 2022 auction.

A total of 97 cricketers were up for grabs on Day 1 of the auction, with 23 players going unsold. Wanindu Hasaranga and Nicholas Pooran were the most expensive overseas players on Day 1 of the IPL 2022 auction, both going for INR 10.75 crore each.

Among Indian cricketers, Ishan Kishan fetched the biggest price, going to his former team Mumbai Indians for INR 15.25 crore. David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Lockie Ferguson, Jason Holder, Shahrukh Khan and Harshal Patel were the other big buys, but there were a few cricketers who fetched no bids, despite playing in the tournament last year.

Teams will get a chance to buy back these players at the end of Day 2 if a franchise shows interest.
