The new Rajasthan Royals skipper has had a near-perfect start to IPL 2021, at least on an individual level. He slammed the first century of the tournament in an extraordinary knock against Punjab Kings to start his campaign.
While he could not take RR to victory – they fell short by five runs – it is widely considered as the best innings of the tournament so far.
Samson followed up to his riveting start with a splendid take against Delhi Capitals in Rajasthan’s second game. After Jaydev Unadkat drew an edge off Shikhar Dhawan’s blade, Samson flew to his left to complete the dismissal.
It was a phenomenal take from the RR skipper, who seems to be thriving under his new role so far.
