While the New Zealand bowler was slightly expensive on the day – he conceded 37 runs from his four overs – Boult dismissed one of RR’s most important batsman, and skipper, with a beautiful delivery. The wicket was crucial in the context of the game, as Samson had to walk back in the 18th over after an effortless 27-ball 42.

The wicket took the wind out of Rajasthan’s sails, as they could add just 16 runs in the last two overs. The 171-run total proved to be below par, as Mumbai chased it down comfortably with seven wickets and nine balls to spare.
