Watch: Nicholas Pooran, Jofra Archer, MS Dhoni and Sanju Samson hit the fix biggest sixes in IPL 2020. All shots travelled more than 100m.

17 batsmen slapped 15 or more sixes in the tournament, with ten players breach the 20-mark. While all of those shots counted for just six runs individually, a few of them were big enough to be worth double that.

Nine batsmen slammed sixes that were measured at 100m or more in IPL 2020. Punjab’s Nicolas Pooran features in the list twice, while Rajasthan Royals have two players in the mix in the form of Sanju Samson and Jofra Archer. MS Dhoni, who is the Indian with the most sixes in the tournament’s history, also makes it to the top five.

Let us take a look at the five biggest sixes from IPL 2020:

Nicholas Pooran 106m

Two of the biggest sixes of the season were slammed by Nicholas Pooran in his incredible knock of 77 off 37 for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He registered five boundaries and seven sixes in the innings, playing an extraordinary knock in a losing cause.

Nicholas Pooran 105m

He hit the second biggest six of the tournament in the same over. It was the most expensive over of the match, going for 28 runs. The West Indies batsman smashed
Abdul Samad for 28 runs.

Jofra Archer 105m

One of the most memorable moments of the IPL 2020 was Jofra Archer slamming Lungi Ngidi for four straight sixes at Sharjah. It was immense hitting from the England player in an over that fetched Rajasthan 30 runs.

Archer’s cameo of 27* off 8 balls turned out to be crucial, as RR won the game by 16 runs.

Sanju Samson, MS Dhoni 102m

Both 102m sixes of IPL 2020 came from the willows of wicketkeeper-batsmen. Sanju Samson played the shot for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals while MS Dhoni played on e for Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
