IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team preview, fixtures & squad list – Indian Premier League

IPL 2021, the 14th edition of Indian Premier League, is expected to begin next month: here’s a look at the Chennai Super Kings team preview and fixtures, as the MS Dhoni-led CSK side aim to make a better impact in the IPL 2021 season.
IPL 2020 was the first time Chennai failed to make it to the play-offs of the IPL. After the disastrous campaign the franchise would be looking to make a comeback in the upcoming season with a return to their home ground in Chepauk, Chennai close to a reality.
IPL 2021 CSK team preview
Chennai Super Kings had lost Shane Watson, who retired, and had pertinent issues in the middle-order heading into the auction. They ironed that out with the purchase of Moeen Ali, also allowing them to plug the hole of an off-spinner. Krishnappa Gowtham was another player added to bolster the spin-bowling department.
Chennai’s retention list had few surprises as they have always wanted to retain the core of their squad. The big guns were retained for the upcoming season despite the odd season they had in UAE. They also added experience in the form of Cheteshwar Pujara, someone they will hope makes a decent impact on the slow surfaces in Chennai.
