IPL 2020 live telecast: MI vs DC (Qualifier 1) TV channel, start time & streaming

MI IPL
by Wisden Staff 3 minute read

Following the end of the league stage of IPL 2020, the top four teams move into the playoffs stage, which begins with the clash between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 – here’s where you can watch the match on TV and live streaming.

At the end of the league stage, Mumbai Indians was the only team to muster 18 points, closely followed by Delhi Capitals, who ended on 16 points despite losing four of their last five games. It will be a fresh start for both teams on Thursday, November 5, with the scheduled clash in Dubai offering a wealth of exciting match-ups to look forward to.

Mumbai Indians were buoyed by the return of Rohit Sharma, who shrugged off a hamstring issue to be available for their final league stage fixture, and will now be hoping to lead the team to their third win against Delhi this season, having comfortably won both league matches against them.

Delhi wouldn’t want to read too much into the track record – they possess a strong bowling attack that has grown from strength to strength as the season has progressed, even as their top batsmen have blown hot and cold. A lot of eyes will be on the all-India top five – Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant – to set the tone against arguably the most well-rounded bowling attacks in the tournament.

Mumbai don’t seem to have any apparent weaknesses, having seemingly ticked all the boxes through the course of the league stage, and would be hoping to sail towards their sixth IPL final without going through the second Qualifier route. Even without Rohit Sharma, their batting line-up, consisting of in-form batsmen Quinton de Kock, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard, has looked as good as any in the competition. How they match up to pace of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje and the guile of Ravichandran Ashwin remains to be seen.

The MI vs DC clash will start at 7.30pm IST (6pm local time in the UAE). TV schedule and streaming details below.
