Delhi Capitals (DC) lost the top spot in the IPL 2020 points table to Mumbai Indians after their loss, but the more worrying factor for them is the injury to wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, which has forced an overhaul of their batting line-up. With Pant’s exclusion, they have drafted in Ajinkya Rahane to shore up their batting, but have been forced to leave out Shimron Hetmyer at the expense of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. Ishant Sharma’s injury-forced exit is another blow to the team, but they seem to have enough fast-bowling depth to make up for the loss.

For Rajasthan, the late charge from Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag helped them clinch two vital points, but the win could not mask the obvious fragility at the top of the order. The inclusion of Ben Stokes strengthens the batting significantly, but his surprise promotion to the openers slot was met with plenty of questions. The dwindling form of Sanju Samson, Steve Smith and Robin Uthappa is a worry as well.
