The six teams – Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, and Sharjah Warriors – will play in a double round-robin league, between January 13 and February 6, 2023. The 30 league matches will be followed by the Qualifier 1 on February 8, the Eliminator on February 9, the Qualifier 2 on February 10, and the final on February 12.
All matches will be played across three venues – the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (which will host both Qualifiers and the final), the Sharjah Cricket Stadium (which will host the Eliminator), and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Every playing XI needs to feature at least two UAE cricketers and one more from another Associate Nation. The six teams will be led by Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Rovman Powell, James Vince, Kieron Pollard, and Moeen Ali.
