The third edition of Global T20 Canada starts on July 20. Here’s the full list of India players that will feature in the 2023 edition of the GT20 Canada.

Global T20 Canada is back after a four-year hiatus and is scheduled to start on July 20. Six teams will feature in the tournament, including two teams that will make their first appearances in the history of the competition.

A total of 25 matches will be played across 18 days, including four playoff games, with the Final to be played on August 6 at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.

The tournament will feature high-quality lineups consisting of both current and former stars of the game, including but not limited to Shahid Afridi, Shakib Al Hasan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Andre Russell, Chris Gayle, and Chris Lynn.

Among Indians, former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will be seen in action as a marquee player for the Brampton Wolves, along with right-arm seamer Jaskarandeep Singh Buttar, who will play for the Mississauga Panthers.

These two will be the only Indian players featuring in the Global T20 Canada 2023. BCCI has strict policies regarding Indian players featuring in foreign leagues, which is why it is rare to see a major Indian contingent in the various T20 leagues around the world.

Both Harbhajan and Jaskarandeep, the two Indians featuring in GT20 Canada 2023, are from Punjab. While Harbhajan has been a legend of the game, picking up more than 700 international wickets, Jaskarandeep has had a relatively quieter career. He has played for India A as well as for Deccan Chargers in the IPL and has 26 T20 wickets to his name.

Jaskarandeep was last seen in action in Indian domestic cricket in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in March 2022.
