The Emirates D20 League 2020, the inaugural edition of the Emirates Cricket Board’s new T20 tournament, commenced on Sunday in Dubai – here is where you can watch the live telecast and streaming.

Last week, the ECB launched the Emirates D20 League, a franchise-based T20 tournament based in Dubai, with the stated aim of improving and expanding the local talent pool in the UAE.

The tournament, according to reports, will run from December 6 to 24, and will be sponsored by Indian fantasy league site Dream11. Former India all-rounder Robin Singh, who is now the UAE director of cricket, believes the tournament will help propel cricket in the country, especially on the back of the their successful staging of IPL 2020.

“We are looking forward to the tournament as it is something that will boost cricket here because there is a lot of traction going forward with the IPL and there are a lot more players we have identified that can surprise people,” he was quoted as saying by Gulf News. “We want to ensure this theme going forward as it will take the UAE to the big scene very soon.”

The Emirates D20 League comprises six teams – Ajman, Dubai, ECB Blues, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah – who will clash with each other twice in the round-robin stages. There will be three matches played every day – at 1pm, 4pm and 8pm local time – with the final to be held on December 24.
