Watch: Playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders, Andre Russell smashed Barbados Royals’ Jason Holder for a huge 108-metre six in the 2023 Caribbean Premier League last week to continue his stellar form in the tournament.
Andre Russell has been at his usual aggressive self in the CPL, hitting 15 sixes in eight innings, including a 108-metre hit off Jason Holder on September 6 at the Queen’s Park Oval.

Walking in to bat at No.6, Russell took little time to get going, hitting two sixes off successive balls in the 17th over, sent down by Holder. He smashed Holder for a third six in the penultimate over as well, sending the fuller delivery that was bowled in the arc onto the roof of the stadium for a huge hit.
Holder, though, had the last laugh as he dismissed Russell on the very next delivery, sending him back for a 22-ball 39. In eight innings, Russell has scored 141 runs with a strike rate of 170 in this year’s CPL.
