Watch: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain enjoyed a memorable debut in the Big Bash League for Sydney Thunder, taking three wickets in his first five deliveries against Adelaide Strikers on Sunday.
The 21-year-old, who has played eight ODIs and 18 T20Is, came on to bowl the third over of Strikers’ innings after Thunder put 172 on the board.
After conceding a leg bye from his first delivery, Hasnain dismissed Matthew Short with his second delivery after the right-handed batter flicked a delivery safely into the hands of the fielder at deep backward square leg.
Hasnain then trapped Jake Weatherald lbw with an inswinger to the left-hander and while he failed to secure a hat-trick, he had Jonathan Wells removed just moments later after the batter found Ben Cutting at short midwicket.
Hasnain ended up with a triple-wicket maiden and went on to collect figures of 3-20 from his four overs as Thunder won by 28 runs.
