Pakistan quick Mohammad Hasnain is set to undergo tests to determine the legality of his action after it was reported by umpires during his stint in the Big Bash League (BBL), according to a story on ESPNcricinfo.

Hasnain, 21, has played 26 limited-overs games for Pakistan since making his international debut in 2019. He played five games for Sydney Thunder in the ongoing BBL season, taking seven wickets at 15.71.

Hasnain is known for his ability to hurry batters and is regularly clocked above 140kph (86.99mph). He will undergo tests at a biometrics facility in Lahore.

During the recent Sydney derby in the BBL, Sixes captain Moises Henriques was overheard by the stump microphone calling into question the legality of Hasnain’s action. After Hasnain delivered a 140.2 kph (87.11 mph) bouncer, Henriques said: “Nice throw, mate, nice throw.”

Hasnain held his own while the Sixers posted an imposing total of 197-5 from their 20 overs; the young speedster conceded just 22 runs from his four overs.
