Marnus Labuschagne continued his incredible return to T20 cricket, making another telling contribution in Brisbane Heat’s win over Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.
Labuschagne followed up a handy 38-ball 46 with a three-wicket haul to help Brisbane Heat win a close encounter against the Perth Scorchers and ensure a place in the Big Bash League play-offs.
The highlight of Labuschagne’s spell was his game-changing over that saw two wickets fall, denting Scorchers’ run chase. Labuschagne had Josh Inglis trapped in front before producing a terrific delivery to clean up Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner.

Turner played for a straighter ball, but Labuschagne had it turning ever so slightly past the edge to disturb the woodwork. He leaked just two runs in the over, the 14th of the innings, and finished with impressive figures of 3-35, his best in T20 cricket.
“He should have bowled a lot more this summer Marnus Labuschagne,” Mark Waugh remarked on air after his brilliant spell.
