Watch: Two Chattogram Challengers players managed to injure themselves at almost exactly the same time at opposite ends of the playing arena while celebrating a wicket against Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Shohidul Islam, the bowler, landed awkwardly after copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s SIUUU celebration, while Tanzid Hasan had to avoid Romario Shepherd, who had run back to take a well-judged sliding catch, and then held his back after turning to congratulate the West Indian.
While Shohidul was able to complete his over after some treatment, Tanzid had to leave the field.
Tanzid had earlier hit a stellar century, his 65-ball 116 driving Chattogram Challengers to 192-4. The batter to fall was Khulna Tigers captain Anamul Haque, who top-scored with 35 of 24 as his side slid to 127 all out.
Chattogram Challengers currently sit third in the BPL table, with seven wins from 12 games, while Khulna Tigers are fifth, with five wins having played a game fewer.
