New Zealand have announced a 15-member squad for the England tour ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup, bringing back Trent Boult into the side.

Boult returns to the ODI fold after nearly a year. It is an indicator that he will be in line for a World Cup spot, despite not having a central contract with New Zealand Cricket. He last played an ODI in September 2022, against Australia. More recently, he featured in MI New York’s title-winning campaign at the inaugural Major League Cricket.
Kane Williamson, still recovering from his knee injury, will link up with the squad as part of his rehabilitation process, although he is neither in the selected squad nor close to match fitness.
Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham will both be unavailable due to the birth of their first children, while Ish Sodhi has taken time off to be with his family.
The team, led by Tom Latham, also includes Kyle Jamieson, who last played for New Zealand in June 2022, and has since been recovering from a back injury.
Michael Bracewell is recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, and underwent surgery for the same. He did not find a place.
