ENG vs IRE, where to watch ODIs live: TV channels, live streaming and match timings for England v Ireland 2023

Ireland will travel to England for the series
by Wisden Staff 3 minute read

England will square off against Ireland in a three-match ODI series between September 20 and 26. Here’s all you need to know about the ENG vs IRE series match schedule, TV Channels and live-streaming details.

The white-ball event will be hosted by three grounds–Headingley in Leeds, Trent Bridge in Nottingham, and County Ground in Bristol.

England have named an inexperienced squad with comeback man Zak Crawley entrusted as the captain. Crawley has been rewarded for his Test batting renaissance under coach Brendon McCullum. England’s highest scorer in this year’s Ashes (480 runs at an average of 53.33, striking at 88.72), he has made a comeback in the ODI side after a hiatus of two years. Partnering with him as his deputy is his red-ball opening partner, Ben Duckett.

The 13-member squad has as many as four debutants – batter Sam Hain, gloveman Jamie Smith, fast-bowler George Scrimshaw and left-arm tweaker Tom Hartley.

World Cup hopeful Harry Brook will be under the microscope since the encounters offer him a chance to claim a stake in Jos Buttler’s squad to the mega event. September 28 is the last day to finalise the teams as per the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines.

Meanwhile, Ireland have named a 15-player squad led by opener Paul Stirling.

When the two teams met in an ODI series in 2020, England emerged victorious with a scoreline 2-1 in their favour.
