Sunil Gavaskar blasts India captain and coaches

Speaking at The Indian Express Idea Exchange, Gavaskar made some scathing remarks questioning Rohit Sharma’s output as India captain as well as his comments after the World Test Championship final regarding inadequate preparation time.

Gavaskar also criticised the Indian coaching staff – head coach Rahul Dravid, batting Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey – saying they should be held accountable for the tactics of the team.

Netherlands coach sends call-out for fixtures in subcontinent

Netherlands head coach Ryan Cook has requested teams to play against them in the subcontinent to help them prepare for the World Cup in India this October and November. Having researched on which teams may be available over the next three months, he will try to arrange fixtures accordingly.

England announce Ashes ODI squad

England have announced the squad for the ODI leg of the Women’s Ashes. Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Filer have made comebacks as England look to continue their T20I form, having recently beaten the Aussies in a T20I series for the first time since 2017.

ILT20 squad retentions announced

The retained players list for each team for the second season of the ILT20 has been announced. MI Emirates and Desert Vipers have retained the most players, 12 each, while Dubai Capitals have retained only five players.

ICC announce World Cup Qualifier Team of the Tournament

The ICC have announced their Team of the Tournament for the recently concluded World Cup Qualifier, where Sri Lanka defeated the Netherlands in the final, as both teams qualified for the World Cup.

ICC’s XI consists of three players from each of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands, along with two from Scotland.

New Zealand Women take unassailable lead in T20I series against Sri Lanka Women

New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the 2nd women’s T2oI. With this, they have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, which comes as a welcome relief to them following their surprise 1-2 series loss in the ODIs.
