The player’s draft for the upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League was completed on May 28, 2021 – here’s a look at the new signings along with the complete list of squads for the upcoming CPL.
The ninth edition of CPL begins from August 28 to September 19 in St Kitts and Nevis and will feature some of the biggest games in the world of cricket. While local players such as Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, and Dwayne Bravo will be in action, fans will also get to see overseas stars Chris Morris, Faf du Plessis, Matthew Wade, Shoaib Malik, and Haider Ali.
The biggest interest to Indian fans, however, will be the presence of Smit Patel, who recently played for Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy earlier this year. A former U19 wicketkeeper for India in the 2012 World Cup, Smit has been picked up by Barbados Tridents as an MLC (Major League Cricket) player.
Here is all you need to know about the CPL 2021 draft and the final squads of all franchises.
