The inaugural player draft for The Hundred took place on Sunday – all eight men’s sides now have a squad of 15 players.
Each squad includes one England centrally-contracted Test player, three overseas players and two local icons. One wildcard pick will be made prior to the start of next year’s competition.
Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan was the first man to be picked in the draft, but several big names missed out, including Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Kagiso Rabada and Shakib Al Hasan.
Domestic stars who were picked up in the early rounds of the draft included Liam Livingstone (£125k), Dane Vilas (£125k), Phil Salt (£100k), Liam Dawson (£100k), Lewis Gregory (£100k), Ravi Bopara (£100k) and Tom Abell (£100k).
